The second most populous city in Hungary.Debrecen got its nickname/Calvinist Rome/ because of the cardinal role it played in the Reformation in Hungary in the 16th century.The symbol of the city is the Calvinist Church built in classicist style.It has the armchair of Lajos Kossuth as a relic.It was Lajos Kossuth who declared the end of Habsburg rule in Hungary on 14 April 1849 in Debrecen.The Town Hall is one of the town's nicest buildings and Nagyerdo also worth visiting.It is a popular green area in the town,with a thermal bath,Fun Park,zoo and an arboretum.
